The drying thing is good and the result will surely give you a drive. But to be a bit more specific you will need an exclusive drying rack for the purpose. You can hang the blossom groupings anywhere in the house but the best is to build your self a wonderful, handy and inexpensive drying rack. Extra trash wood planks stores away in the house can perfectly help the situation. Just cut, shape and nail those wood pieces into two-by-fours to the ceiling in the storage or the nursery or the greenhouse. After that staple the wire mesh you may use for stucco to the planks. A roll of electrical wires and a pair of wire cutters can perfectly serve as hooks for you. And soon you will find that the garage too looks like a beautiful little garden.

While you cut the flowers that you think you will dry, see that are completely dry and don’t have any wetness or even a sprinkle of dew. Gather three to four flower blossoms with intact petals together tried with a rubber band.
Roses are an all time favorite for the purpose, others like larkspur, achillea, celosia, gomphrena, etc. Dried Flowers do not only include dried blossom but dried buds, foliages, fully open flowers, and even stems. But the only prerequisite is that they should not be too much in the withering state. At least the petals shouldn’t be that delicate as they would just fall off.

There are a number of ways of ways you can preserve dried flowers and foliage. One of the means is by glycerin. Flowers like Hydrangea and Molucella accept glycerin very well. You can use glycerin to preserve grasses too. Coniferous plants and flowers will yield excellent results when you treat with glycerin.

 

When you are preserving foliage for dried flower arrangements it’s always good if you preserve them after mature. This is to an extent unlike the flowers like roses which are preferred to be in a budding stage during plucking to get best results after drying.
